# King Miek Gieben


Due to an illness of Queen [Beatrix](https://nds-nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatrix_van_Nederlaand) of the
Netherlands, and a quirk of [the Dutch law](https://www.denederlandsegrondwet.nl/id/vkugbqvdvjxr/paragraaf_1_koning#p1),
the unknown Miek Gieben, living in Nijmegen, at that time was crowned King of the Netherlands for 4 months (May - Aug) in 1986, at the
young age of 10. After Beatrix recovered the crown was relinquished again.
